LMF: Why don't we start off with you introducing yourself?
RM: Ritz Murphy from San Diego. I'm a Cali Boy! I'm an Entertainer.
LMF: What made you become a singer?
RM: I love it! I can't get enough!
LMF: Who are your influences?
RM: New Edition, Boyz II Men, Gary "Lil' G" Jenkins from Silk.
LMF: How would you describe your music?
RM: The songs have a Pop influence, but an R&b vibe. It's a lot of fun.
LMF: Do you write your own music?
RM: I write about 90% of my material. You get to know a lot about me in my music.
LMF: Can you tell us a little bit about your album coming out soon?
RM: It should be released before the end of summer. I think it's a great mix of songs.
LMF: Do you ever get nervous or stage fright?
RM: Everytime I do a show. It feels the same as getting ready to go on a roller coaster! It's intense!
LMF: If you could open up for any artist out there right now, who would it be?
RM: Usher! That would be an insane crowd! Maybe someday.
LMF: What is the one thing you can eat 24/7?
RM: Carne Asada. Mexican food is my favorite. I love steak!
LMF: What C.D. would we find in your C.D. player right now?
RM: Right now, Lionel Richie's Greatest Hits. One of my favorite songwriters.
LMF: Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
RM: Still doing what I'm doing! People get better with age, and more great music is waiting to be made.
LMF: If you weren't singing, is there something else you could see yourself doing for a career?
RM: Waiting tables at the Sizzler! I don't know the answer to that one.
LMF: If you had a fortune cookie, what would your ideal fortune cookie say?
RM: I have the ideal fortune, and I carry it in my wallet. It says "Your name will be famous in the future". Is that a trip or what?
