Interview Questions
LMF: Lets get started with your name and how old you are?
LF: Hi my name is Lindsay Felton and I am 17 years old, almost 18.
LMF: What made you become an actress?
LF: I became an actress when I was very young, mainly as a hobby in Seattle, WA. When I was 8, I had an opportunity to audition for a national TV series, but it would have meant relocating to L.A. if I got the part. That is when I really had to decide if I was serious about this as a career.
LMF: When was your first performance as an actress?
LF: Well, when I was living in Seattle I was in an add for a local department store called "The Bon Marche." I had to sing "And so This is Christmas." That is the first thing I remember... There were lots of commercials like that... but my first REAL job was on the show THUNDER ALLEY on ABC, which is why we came to LA in the first place.
LMF: Who are your influences?
LF: Well, every time I turn on my TV and see some young beautiful girl traveling the world, playing great roles and costarring with some of the worlds best actors I am influenced to work harder. I also have my parents, managers, and acting coaches who help me out tremendously in that area.
LMF: If you had the chance to act with anyone who would it be and why?
LF: Oooo... Well, I would have said Stanley Kubrick... but I guess that can't happen... but since I was a young girl I have always wanted to costar with Elijah Wood (Because he is so darn cute and talented) and I have always adored Robin Williams who I think is one of the more talented men on the planet... and most recently Ed Norton and Hayden Christainsen have blown my mind... I would be honored to work with any of those people.
LMF: So how does your friends/famliy feel/think about you acting?
LF: My family is the most supportive family in the world. I couldn't ask for more. They help me take care of my business and teach me a lot, and they are always very accommodating and supportive. My friends have always been really cool with everything, but most recently the people I hang out with mostly are actors themselves. so it's nice to hang out with people who really understand the business.
LMF: How was it to work on CAITLIN'S WAY?
LF: Caitlin's Way was a very important part of my life up until this point... Those people became my family... I had more fun on that show then I have ever had.
LMF: How did you get the part for the show?
LF: Interesting story. I was 12 when I first auditioned for it. But originally the story line was about a young, troubled orphan boy named Griffin, who goes to live with his extended family in a small town. His cousin Dori, her husband Jim, and their DAUGHTER Caitlin, the smart geek who is ashamed of her cousin. Anyway, I read and got a call back and when I went in to read for the Director and Producer, they had me in the room for like an HOUR working with me and then all of a sudden Tommy Lynch, the Producer, tells me he wants me to read some other lines and he hands me the part of Griffin... I was very confused, but I read them anyway. Before I knew it they were switching the roles so that it was about an orphan girl, and I was it.
LMF: How did you feel when the show had to come to an end?
LF: It was very sad when the show ended because no one really had the chance to say goodbye. We all left the second season thinking we would be back next year. when it was unexpectedly canceled, it was a shock to everyone. It was like an entire phase of my life had ended and I had to start all over again.
LMF: What have you been doing since then?
LF: Since Caitlin's Way, I have been doing a bit of school, spending time with friends, and mainly just being a teenager. For a while I was kind of boycotting the acting thing... I did a few parts here and there, but little stuff, nothing anyone would see really... I traveled a bit and just recently I have gotten back in the saddle and really tried to get some work. I just finished a small part in a film called "GRIND." It should be released next summer... it's the first major film I have ever worked on really. I had a great time.
LMF: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
LF: In five years. I hope to be a household name. I want to be working in the film industry, well known, and not have to worry about money.
LMF: What would you say to the people that want to become actors?
LF: Being an actor is a hard job. there are millions of people trying to make it in this industry. If you can see yourself being happy doing anything else, then do that. but if it's in your blood, and you have to act, then don't let anything stop you. Be positive, determined, and don't let anyone tell you you can't do it.
LMF: What would you like to say to your fans out there?
LF Thanks everybody for all the support and for being there through the ups and downs. I hope to have something to show all of you guys soon. Stick around and thanks again.
