Interview Questions

LMF: Why don't we start off with you introducing yourself.
JM: Hey whats up? I'm Jordan Michaels rocking it from Jacksonville, Florida.
LMF: When did you know you wanted to become a singer? JM: I first wanted to be a singer/songwriter when I was 5. I was in like Pre-K or Kindergarten and we had to draw and color what we wanted to be. I think the sheet was like "Hi I am _____ and I want to be a ____ when I grow up." So I wanted to be a rockstar.
LMF: Describe your style of music to someone who has never heard it before.
JM: My music is I guess described as "Pop/Rock/Acoustic" but I like to think of it as "a beautiful randition of catchy rock and roll tunes."
LMF: Who are your biggest musical influences?
JM: Well from an early age I was a fan of Bon Jovi, Paul Simon, New Kids on Da Block(haha), and had my share of 80's rock. John Mayer, Ryan Cabrera, Howie Day, and Shawn Mullins have impacted my music. Just whoever puts on a good show and plays from the heart.
LMF: If you could sing with any artist out there right now, who would it be and why?
JM: I've got a crush on Ashlee Simpson so if I could do a song with her and make her fall for me that would rock.
LMF: If you could plan your own tour, which artists would you take out on the road with you?
JM: would want a big variety like get Paul Simon, Craig David, Maroon 5, and David Gray I think that tour would be something crazy.
LMF: There are a lot of artists out there right now, what sets you apart from the rest?
JM: Well I try to keep my head in as well as my heart. Alot of artists are out there just to make money and let it go to their head.
LMF: What was your first on stage experience like?
JM: Pretty good. I was nervous but after the first verse it got better and I was more comfortable on stage.
LMF: Do you ever get nervous or stage fright?
JM: Depends on the crowd size. Its alot easier for me to play infront of alot of people but if its like 5 people or something then I am nervous.
LMF: Do you have any pre-show rituals that you do before a performance?
JM: Just pray everything goes well. Down a few energy drinks.
LMF: For a fan that is going to see you perform live, what can they expect from your show.
JM: You can expect to get down! I may throw a few tunes in there that you wouldnt expect. I have been know to best out a 50 cent song or a Nelly song every now and then. I try to make it fun because if you arent having fun then I'm not having fun.
LMF: Do you have a favorite place that you've performed in?
JM: I really digged playing in Atlanta. They show alot of love for you there. But Jacksonville is amazing because its my home town.
LMF: Do you have any embarrassing moments on the stage you would like to share?
JM: Not yet. But I am sure there will be some pretty soon.
LMF: What is the best part about being a performer?
JM: I really like meeting the peeps after the show and hanging out with them. The way that people see you as though they look up to you is the greatest feeling.
LMF: What do you like better, recording in the studio or performing live?
JM: Most deff is performing live. To see how people react and see people singing along.
LMF: What has been the most memorable moment in your career this far?
JM: When I signed to the label I am on. Ellision Records.
LMF: What CD would we find in your CD player right now?
JM: Ah gosh kid dont you know we dont listen to cd players. Its all about Ipods and Mp3 players. lol.
LMF: lol sorry I mean what's on your Ipod/Mp3 player?
JM: On my Mp3 player I've been listening to Dan Miller, who is an amazing musician, Matt Wertz, Copeland, Kate Earl, Damien Rice, Matthew Ryan, and Howie Day.
LMF: What is the one food you could eat 24/7?
JM: Possibly Hamburgers.
LMF: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
JM: Hopefully in 5 years I will be signed to a Major Record Label and have a family.
LMF: Do you have any advice for someone starting out in the music business?
JM: Follow your heart and stay true to yourself. Dont ever give up and if you fall, get back up.
LMF: If you had a fortune cookie, what would your ideal fortune cookie say?
JM: "Fortune Cookie always wrong!" I heard it in a movie once. lol.
LMF: If you weren't singing, is there something else you could see yourself doing for a career?
JM: I would want to act. I think I am pretty good at that.
LMF: Is there anything you would like to say to the fans?
JM: Whats up Gangsters! I love you all and look for my cd to be in stores in
fall of '06 out on Elision Records.
