LMF:Why don't we start off with you guys introducing yourselfs.
JETT17: Im Etivise, I'm 18 and I play backup drums and I do a little songwriting.
Hey I'm Natalia , I'm 15 and I play backup Bass.
I'm Tony, 21, Guitar, and I'm single.
Hey I'm Mika, 19 years old and bass guitar and I'm the tightest *LOL*
Hi Laurent, I'm Maliana, and I'm 19 and I play keyboards and I do songwriting.
Donnie, I'm 17 and I play the drums.
Ashton, 25 and I play percussions, WASSUP!
Hey I'm Leipua, 19, backup keyboards and backup percussions.
And we're JETT17!
LMF: How did you guys get together?
JETT17: We started in 1998 in California and it kinda just came together. We did shows for our older brothers & sisters, The Jets, in Vegas and thats how it started. We slowly transformed into our own group.
LMF: How would you describe your music?
JETT17: Our music is a mixture of R&B & Pop, a little reggae with spanish and hip hop with an island twist.
LMF: Do you guys write your own music?
JETT17: Yes we do. We write all our music. Everything on our album is all original - pure original flava!
LMF: If you could do a duet with any artist out there right now, who would it be and why?
JETT17: TKO, Lelani & Fatai - All WPRecords Artists! They are tight! Also... We all have our own individual tastes
Etivise: I would do a duet with Missy Elliott
Leipua: Lauren Hill cuz she's extremely talented vocalist, MC and she's way deep!
Natalia: Josh Grobin because he has an incredible voice for such a young man.
Ashton: Luther Vandross cuz he has an amazing voice!
Tony: Beyonce because she's blowing up like whattttt?
Mika: Probably The Roots, cuz they are hella tight, thats all I gotta say
Donnie: Ludacris
Maliana: Janet Jackson because she's one of the main inspirations of our music
LMF: Describe a day for you guys, from waking up to going to bed.
JETT17: We usually start off with a scheduled meeting/prayer, and then go right into practice rehearsing for about 3 - 5 hours (it depends). Once it hits around 5 pm we take a break, then afterwards we chill, sleep or hangout. If its a performance, we'll do our soundcheck about 4 hours before a performance, eat, rest then hit the stage. Its tough because no day is exactly the same.
LMF: What is the one thing you guys can eat 24/7?
JETT17: Anything edible *LOL*, pizza, junk food, candy. If you kill it we'll grill it *LOL*
LMF: Where do you see yourselfs in five years?
JETT17: Hopefully still doing music, but also starting our own families and individual lives.
LMF: If you could open up for any artist out there right now, who would it be?
JETT17: Sean Paul!!!!
LMF: What C.D. would we find in your guys C.D. players right now?
JETT17: Etivise: I've been listening to India Arie & Beyonce's new album
Leipua: Slow Jams, slow jams and some more slow jams and John Mayer
Tony: Ginuwine
Mika: I've been listening to Thicke
Maliana: I've been listening to Janet's CD's - her old ones
Natalia: Linkin Park
Donnie: 99.1 KGGI FM - I listen to the radio *LOL*
Ashton: Salsa is what I've been listening to lately and a little bit of merengue
LMF: If you guys weren't singing, is there something else you guys could see yourselfs doing for a career?
JETT17: Donnie: I'd be an artist
Maliana: I would want to be an entertainment host or a VJ for MTV
Ashton: Either a comedian actor or a radio DJ or a body builder.
Leipua: Marine Biologist or Astrologist
Etivise: A wife and mother and a forensic scientist
Natalia: An actress or a writer
Tony: I'd work for the airline
Mika: A professional B-Boy
LMF: last one, What message would you like to send out to your fans?
JETT17: Be real - stay true to who you are and follow your heart! Don't give up on your dreams.
