LMF: Why don't we start off with you introducing yourself?
JD: Hey! My name is Jessie Daniels! I'm 16 years old and I grew up and still live in Long Island, New York. I'm currently performing all over the country and writing and recording in Nashville for my upcoming album in late spring 2004.
LMF: When did you know you wanted to be a singer?
JD: Ever since I was little it's always been a dream of mine to sing but about 3 years ago was when I really started to use my talent to touch people's hearts and change lives through the message of my music. That's when I knew singing is what I am supposed to do.
LMF: How would you describe your music?
JD: Pure rock- It's rock with attitude and heart at the same time.
LMF: Do you write your own music?
JD: I'm currently writing with my producer Sam Mizell (RJ Helton, Jump 5) and many other talented writers in Nashville.
LMF: If you could sing a duet with someone, who would it be and why?
JD: I would love to sing with Mandy Moore, she has a true genuine voice and heart for music.
LMF: What's a typical day like for you when you're not on the road?
JD: I'll wake up around 10. Do online schooling for 3 hours. Exercise. Then go relax and hangout with friends.
LMF: Describe your first onstage performance.
JD: wow - my first on stage performance was probably when i was 5. I sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". It was really cute.
LMF: Do you have a favorite city that you've performed in?
JD: I love Nashville! I mean i love New York too because it's like my home. But Nashville is so different and it's where the music is at.
LMF: Who have you toured with?
JD: I've performed dates with artists like Rose Falcon and Plus One. I'll be touring with Across the Sky this Spring.
LMF: Describe your average day on the road?
JD: An average day on the road. hum..sleep, practice, read, eat, rehearse, normally a promo thing during the day and then a performance at night.
LMF: If you could describe your favorite memory in your career so far, what would it be?
JD: That's so hard, every experience is a different one and every memory better than the next. But meeting Michelle Branch was definitely one of the best highlights ever.
LMF: What is the one thing you can eat 24/7?
JD: Italian food.
LMF: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
JD: Hopefully really successful. I want to have touched many hearts for God.
LMF: If you could open up for any artist out there right now, who would it be?
JD: Wow there are so many awesome artists but right now def Michelle Branch, her voice is flawless and she puts on an amazing show.
LMF: What C.D. would we find in your C.D. player right now?
JD: Mandy Moore, Across the Sky, Stacie Orrico, and Michelle Branch.
LMF: If you weren't singing, is there something else you could see yourself doing for a career?
JD: I've never had a passion for anything like I do for singing and communicating a message of love and hope to people. So, nah, I can't see myself doing anything besides singing.
LMF: If you had fortune cookie, what would your ideal fortune cookie say?
JD: With Him all things are possible.
LMF: last one, What message would you like to send out to your fans?
JD: Trust in God about all things. He will give your life purpose and love you unconditionally.
