Interview Questions

LMF: Why don't we start off with you introducing yourself?
JLN: My name is Jamie Lynn Noon and I am a singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area.
LMF: When did you know you wanted to be a singer?
JLN: I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a singer... Music has always been my foremost passion.
LMF: Describe your music to someone who has never heard it before.
JLN: My music can be really diverse... I started out writing and performing more blues inspired songs, and my current work is more pop-rock. Through those influences, I think it’s developed into a soulful pop-rock style. But overall, I would just describe it as me; my music comes from my heart.
LMF: Do you write your own music?
JLN: Yes, I do write all of my own music. Songwriting is my favorite part of the process.
LMF: Who would you say is your biggest musical influence?
JLN: There are far too many to name just one!
LMF: If you could do a duet with anyone who would it be?
JLN: Johhny Rzeznik. He’s someone I have always greatly admired as a songwriter and just as an all-around artist.
LMF: There are a lot of artists out there right now, what sets you apart from the rest?
JLN: I think that we all have something unique to offer… But I think for me, it’s really important for people to know that I do write all of my own music.
LMF: What has been the most memorable moment in your career this far?
JLN: The most memorable moments have been connecting with my fans. When someone tells me that my music has touched them or inspired them in some way, it is just such a rewarding feeling.
LMF: If you had to pick one food you could eat 24/7 what would it be and why?
JLN: Mmm-- I think I need variety!
LMF: What music would we find in your mp3 player right now?
JLN: Right now I’m listening to Augustana and the Goo Goo Dolls… I just had the chance to see both bands live in San Francisco, and it was an amazing show—I haven’t stopped listening since!
LMF: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
JLN: I see myself still doing what I love.
LMF: If you had a fortune cookie, what would your ideal fortune cookie say?
JLN: You will have a long and fulfilling career.
LMF: Last one, What message do you want to give to all your fans out there?
JLN: I would say thank you to each and every one of them—they are the ones that allow artists to do what they love—and so I am incredibly thankful to those who have shown their support for me. It means more than you know!
