Interview Questions
LMF: Why don't we start off with you introducing yourself?
DM: Sure, my name is David Melgar, i just turned 18 last month, and i live in San Diego, CA.
LMF: What made you become a singer?
DM: Tough. I dont think it was just one thing that made me want to sing, but i would have to say in a nutshell: God, and Music.
LMF: When was your first performance?
DM: I think it was back in kindergarten. We did this Christmas showcase for our parents, i just remember being SOOO nervous, and just wanting to get off that stage. MAJOR stage fright.
LMF: How would you describe your music?
DM: As far as the sound goes, my music has a very modern R&B/Pop sound, and as for the content of the songs, they reflect life struggles from a "Christian" point of view. All the ups, and downs that are associated with trying to live a life for Christ.
LMF: Do you write your own music?
DM: Sure do!
LMF: If you could do a duet with any artist out there right now, who would it be and why?
DM: If i had that chance, i would probably want to do something with Souljahz. I'm a huge fan of their music, and sound. I just think they are very creative, and have soo much talent.
LMF: Describe a day for you, from waking up to going to bed.
DM: Ah, this wont be interesting at all, haha. Well.. i usually wake up at 9 or so (I'm home schooled =) ) Do school work till about 1pm, check email, and the rest of the day I'm usually doing music stuff, or other stuff.. told you not real interesting.
LMF: What is the one thing you can eat 24/7?
DM: It has to be Chinese food!
LMF: Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
DM: Still trying to live a good christian life, and having God lead me. So whatever God has in store in the next five years.
LMF: Do you ever get nervous or stage fright?
DM: Nervous yes, stage fright, no
LMF: If you could open up for any artist out there right now, who would it be?
DM: I don't really know. I'll get back to ya'll on this one!
LMF: What C.D. would we find in your C.D. player right now?
DM: Floetry "Floacism - Live" I think their sound is so unique, and I'm real into that neo-soul sound right now. Very good CD to pick up!
LMF: If you weren't singing, is there something else you could see yourself doing for a career?
DM: I'm real into the arts, so anything that deals with using a creative mind, I'm all for that.
LMF: Last one, What message would you like to send out to your fans?
