Interview Questions
LMF: Why don't we start off with you introducing yourself?
CS: Hey, I'm Crystal Smith. I'm 16 and have been dancing for almost 10 years and acting for about 3 years.
LMF: What made you become a dancer?
CS: When I was 4 years old, I saw Michael Jackson in "Captain EO" at Disneyland. I saw how music brought happiness to a dark planet and after watching Michael, I was like, "Mom! I wanna do that!"
LMF: so when was your first performance as a dancer?
CS: My very first performance came when I was 7 years old. It was a dance recitial put on by my studio. I was really shy as a little kid, so I was really nervous. You would never expect that from me now! haha
LMF: How is it to work with the Aaron Carter?
CS: It was great working with Aaron! He's a really cool guy, very funny and down-to-earth. I had the opportunity to dance with him in Anaheim, CA this past July and it was a really cool experience. It's always a pleasure to see him.
LMF: what is you favortie song to dance to when you where on the Jukebox Tour?
CS: I actually was only up there for one song - "Outstanding", originally by the Gap Band - it was a guest performance but it was cool because most people thought I was part of the tour. haha The fans would be like "You went along with it so well!". I don't know, performing comes naturally to me and once I'm up there, I'm never nervous.
LMF: If you had the chance to dance with anyone who would it be and why?
CS: Wow, I'd probably have to say Michael Jackson just because he's the one that inspired me to do this. Justin Timberlake is also someone I'd love to dance with. He's an all-round great performer and his music is fun to dance to.
LMF: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
CS: I'll be 17 in December, so in 5 years I'll be almost 22. By then I hope to be touring with someone and definitely doing some acting as well. We'll see! For a dancer, your 20s are your prime years, so let's hope for the best.
LMF: What is the one thing you can eat 24/7?
CS: I'll be 17 in December, so in 5 years I'll be almost 22. By then I hope to be touring with someone and definitely doing some acting as well. We'll see! For a dancer, your 20s are your prime years, so let's hope for the best.
LMF: so your into acting too. How is that working out?
CS: Acting is so much fun! Right now I'm in the process of signing with a casting agency so I'm really excited about that.
LMF: if you where to be in tv show, what kind would you like to be in?
CS: I love sit-com shows, stuff were it's not all too serious. Drama is cool too, but it's always so intense, you know?
LMF: last one what would you like to say to your fans?
CS: Thank you guys so much! It's so cool these days to see dancers being appreciated and I want to thank every one of you who have been supporting me in this. I love you guys!
