Interview Questions
LMF: Ok why don't we start off with you introducing yourself?
AM: Alright. My name is Ashley*Marie, I'm 15, I'm from Chicago, and I'm an upcoming model and singer.
LMF: When did you know you wanted to be a singer/model?
AM: Modeling - since the day I was born. Singing - Well..I've always been singing, but it wasn't until I was 11 when I got really serious.
LMF: Do you write your own music?
AM: Yes I do.
LMF: How would you describe your music?
AM: Ummm...It depends. Each song is different. Depending on what mood I'm in when I write the song, is usually the mood of the song. And each day I'm in lots of different moods. But as far as what type of genre I sing, It's pop with some punk and hip-hop influence. I don't know if that makes sense, but if you hear it, then you'll see what I mean.
LMF: If you could sing a duet with someone, who would it be and why?
AM: There's lots of people. I'd love to work with either Eminem, Sharon Osbourne (even though she doesn't sing...but hey...there's a first time for everything!), and Good Charlotte. Those are just a few people. They all really inspire me and all are role model who I look up to. They've all taught me something musically and just some lessons in life. I'd love to work with them.
LMF: What's a typical day like for you?
AM: Well, usually I wake up and go to school, then I come back and do homework and just be a normal teenager. On weekends..unless I have something I have to do, I sleep in and just be a normal teen - shopping, hanging out with friends, etc... And in the summers I'm a counselor at a summer camp. And all inbetween I find time for my modeling and singing. Usually after school I work on either of the two. Like yesterday, I recorded a new song for my demo.
LMF: Do you ever get nervous or stage fright?
AM: Sometimes. Sometimes I get the jitters in my stomach, but I think I take that nervous energy and project it into something good.
LMF: Describe your first onstage performance.
AM: The first time I was on stage was when I modeled. It was a runway show for Limited Too. It was...awesome. I remember chatting with all the other models backstage and then we had to get really serious and organized and into our outfits. And then one by one we went out and did our own lil thing on the runway. It was lots of fun. I made lots of friends. And then for singing, it was at a local talent show. It was lots of fun. I sang "Genie In A Bottle" by Christina Aguilera and I did a dance with my friends. We had our own singing group. It was lots of fun.
LMF: would you ever tryout for America's Next Top Model or something like it?
AM: Sure. Why not? You got nothing to lose. I'm already working out for Miss Teen USA. That's like a competition on TV...a bit different, but still..it's a competition on TV.
LMF: What C.D. would we find in your C.D. player right now?
AM: Skye Sweetnam. I'm listening to her right now.
LMF: What is the one thing you can eat 24/7?
AM: Starbuck's mocca frappachinos
LMF: If you weren't singing or modeling, is there something else you could see yourself doing for a career?
AM: Acting. I'd love to do that. I'd love to be a triple threat and have it all. But other than that, I'd love to be a psychologist for troubled teens.
LMF: If you had a fortune cookie, what would your ideal fortune cookie say?
AM: Hmm...good question. Ummm...probably just some foreshadow of the future saying that I will make it in the business.
LMF: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
AM: Let's see...in 5 year's that'll make me 20. Hopefully I'd really like to see myself wearing the Miss USA tiara or accepting a Grammy. Or both actually!
