LMF: What is Running Home 4 Teens about?
RH4TSZ: Running Home 4 Teens is a organization that was created by Dieter Schmitz who stars on MTV's Laguna Beach. After the show wrapped it's first season he decided to use his Fame to help other's. Thus he created Running Home 4 Teens which is a non profit Charity to help raise money to Help depressed and suicidal Teens. Basically the concept that he created is that in 2004 he ran and biked from San Diego Back to Laguna Beach. He is doing the same thing in 2005 except this year he is running and biking from Tiajuana, Mexico to Laguna Beach. He raised $11,000.00 last year which his goal was $10,000.00 and this year his goal is $50,000.00 which I have every bit of confidence that we can make that goal as well
LMF: How did you get involved with Running Home 4 Teens?
RH4TSZ: Last year I had heard about it through Myspace. When I had switched my street team from Yahoo to Myspace. I decided that I would help sponsor the cause through my street team. So I contacted Dieter and made the arrangements. Last year I donated $200.00 but was unable to attend any events because I had found out about it so late in the year. This year Dieter contacted me back and asked for me to re-sponsor. The sponsorship is about $500.00 this year and this time I will be going to Laguna Beach on December 18th and doing a dance performance. I am also making arrangements to schedule other appearances and finding ways to help raise money for the cause.
LMF: Why do you think it's important for people to get Involved with Running Home 4 Teens?
RH4TSZ: I believe it is not only important for people our age to take part in helping teens who feel depressed or suicidal because we have all known someone of know someone who has known someone. I think it is majorly important for People like me and Dieter who have been given amazing opportunities and have been put into the spotlight to give back because we have been given so much.
LMF: What are you going to be do at the Running Home 4 Teens event?
RH4TSZ: Well I will be doing a dancer performance as I said. I am also probably going to be going around helping collect donations, sign bracelets and autographs. I believe I will be taking some of my dance videos and pictures to sign for people. I am going to help in anyway I can.
